Most banking websites looked either too “corporate” or too “techy”. We aimed to find a middle ground — clarity, credibility, and warmth.
- Visual rhythm and whitespace balance
- Iconography and illustration styles
- UI patterns for corporate vs. product sections
- Tone of communication and trust-building techniques
Since the project was executed under tight agency timelines, the primary research method was competitive and visual benchmarking.
We analyzed 10+ financial and fintech websites (Revolut, Monobank, Wise, Payoneer, PrivatBank) focusing on:
Research & Competitive Analysis
The goal of the project was to redesign the corporate website to reflect this transformation — moving from a purely technical B2B platform to a modern, customer-facing digital brand that communicates trust, innovation, and accessibility.
Originally launched as a B2B payment service provider, Platon.ua offered processing and integration tools for banks and enterprises.
Over time, the company evolved into a standalone commercial bank, expanding its services to individual clients while maintaining its strong technological foundation.
The purpose of the project
4. Layout & information architecture
Focused on clarity and usability — concise sections, large headlines, and strong visual hierarchy.
Each page followed a modular grid system for scalability and seamless content updates in the future.
2. Wireframing & prototyping
Before moving into visuals, we built low- and mid-fidelity wireframes to define page structure, information hierarchy, and user flow.
Interactive prototypes helped validate navigation patterns and overall logic early, ensuring a clear foundation for the visual stage.
3. Iconography & illustrations
Developed a custom icon set to replace stock visuals — ensuring consistency and recognizability.
All illustrations were drawn in a semi-3D vector style, giving the brand a unique and cohesive visual identity across all pages.
1. Visual direction & brand language
Developed the brand’s new visual direction from scratch — defining color system, icon style, and illustration approach.
The goal was to create a look that feels trustworthy yet modern, using blue gradients, glassmorphism, and soft shadows for depth and clarity.
Also designed a custom mascot to humanize the brand and reflect Platon’s balance between technology and accessibility.
